                   Ethics Training and Continuing Education Sessions?

Ms. Edwards has been a featured presenter of legal continuing education courses for the Missouri Bar Association, and other continuing education sponsors for lawyers in Missouri. She can speak on a variety of legal ethics topics as appropriate to your needs. Some topics have included: client trust accounting practices; conflicts of interest; ethical fee arrangements; and ex parte communication with judges.

Ms. Edwards and her colleague Rita Starnes, owner of COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNICATION training, coaching and consulting, have presented ethics seminars for continuing education programs for professionals to various groups including the Central Missouri Institute of Internal Auditors and the Project Management Institute. In addition to discussion of tenets of the group’s professional code of conduct, their customized programs include value identification and prioritization exercises, preparing to meet common ethical dilemmas, and interactive role play in an informative and entertaining format.

Ms. Edwards also collaborates with BOSTON CHASE MEDIATION GROUP LLC in Northeast Missouri in providing ethics training in workplace settings in conjunction with BCMG’s organizational conflict resolution programs. Ethics training is becoming an essential part of any organizational training program, whether for employees, management, non-profit volunteers, students & teachers, or government agencies.  But too often these training sessions are dry recitations of the legal requirements which don’t inspire participants to engage in the common ethical questions which face them on an everyday level. Participants re-connect with foundational values and work with customized materials to identify the application of ethical norms of the workplace culture.
